The FTP Upload Drop Target

Draaptar is a simple FTP drop target for you to perform quick file uploads via drag-and-drop to any FTP server. Alternately, create a simple batch file and use the Windows Task Scheduler on your computer to fully automize your file uploads.

Draaptar works on any version of the Windows operating system.

Simply copy the one-file .exe 'FTP_Drop_Target.exe' to any place on your computer.

Configure the 'droptarget.ini' file, found in the same directory as 'FTP_Drop_Target.exe', with the connection details for your FTP Server.

Then add a link to 'FTP_Drop_Target.exe'in the Windows 'SendTo' directory: you can then highlight any file on your computer, right-click it, and click on Send To ==> FTP_Drop_Target.exe to instantly upload the file to your server.

In addition, you can simply drag a file onto FTP_Drop_Target.exe to upload it.

Draaptar can even be used with a Windows batch file (sample included) to upload multiple files. Use the Windows Task Scheduler to access a batch file, thus fully automating your file uploads.

WARNING: As with any FTP Upload, Draaptar will overwrite any file on the server having the same name, so make sure you don't overwrite a file you need to keep. PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR SECURITY PURPOSES, DRAAPTAR WORKS JUST WITH FILES, AND DOES NOT UPLOAD FOLDERS.

Need to upload to different servers? simply copy the folder containing 'FTP_Drop_Target.exe' and 'droptarget.ini' and rename it. EACH USER WHO PURCHASES DRAAPTAR IS FREE TO COPY IT AS MANY TIMES AS THEY WANT - PROVIDED THE FILE IS USED ON THE SAME COMPUTER. USE OF DRAAPTAR ON MULTIPLE COMPUTERS REQUIRES THE PURCHASE OF MULTIPLE LICENSES.

'droptarget.ini' Configuration Settings:

In the file droptarget.ini you can configure many of the settings for Draaptar. Here's an explanation for each one:

[FTP_DROP_TARGET]

Host=  		(your ftp hostname, ie: churm.com)
Username=	(your ftp username, ie: tomchurm)
Password=	(your ftp password, ie: abracadabra)
RemoteFolder=	(the physical directory you want to connect to. leave blank for root)
Port=21		(should almost always remain 21)

MakeLog=yes	(if 'yes', a simple logfile will be generated)
LogMaxSize=20	(max size in kilobytes of logfile)

SelfClose=yes	(if 'yes', the program will close by itself upon upload completion, 
providing there have been no errors)
